"The Appenberg is taking shape. And it feels good."

For almost a year now, something new has been taking shape on the Appenberg. Houses are being renovated, paths are being redesigned, and spaces are being opened up. And the same question keeps coming up: What will the Appenberg of the future feel like? Now we have a slightly better idea.

An important step toward reopening

Together with our team of specialists in architecture, lighting design, interior construction, spatial planning, interior decoration, and furnishings, we set up three model rooms: a seminar room, a group room, and a hotel room. They are fully equipped with furniture, fabrics, lighting, colors, materials, and many small details that will later shape our guests’ daily lives. For the first time, we were able to not only plan the Appenberg but also see, feel, and experience it for ourselves.

We hung curtains, rearranged chairs, handled fabrics, and tested surfaces. Do the colors work? Is maintenance easy? Do the rooms foster concentration, tranquility, and inspiration? Can you feel the Appenberg vibe? The answer: Yes. And how. The rooms feel harmonious, warm, simple, and full of character. A few minor details were tweaked. But overall, it’s clear: we’re on the right track. For us, this moment marks a significant milestone on the path to reopening and is a wonderful sign that we’re moving forward together as a team and pouring our hearts and souls into this project.

Until then, I have a good feeling: The Appenberg is taking shape. And it feels good.
