Orienteering on the Appenberg

Where to go next? Armed with a map and a bit of ingenuity, set out to find the next checkpoints. Whether on the Appenberg grounds, the high plateau, or in the forest: three different orienteering courses will get you moving and put your instincts to the test. From a leisurely start to a athletic challenge, there’s something for everyone.

Three options, three difficulty levels: Depending on the time you have available and the level of challenge you’re looking for, choose the right orienteering course for your team. All options are supervised and begin with a brief introduction to orienteering and how to read a map.

Try Orienteering

Perfect for anyone who wants to try orienteering. On the Appenberg grounds, you’ll search for the various checkpoints either on your own or in small groups. There’s no time pressure—just the joy of discovery.

Experience Orienteering

This takes you a little further out! On the Appenberg plateau, you'll put your sense of direction to the test. You can participate individually or in small groups, and we can time your run if you'd like.

Orienteering as a Challenge

Now it's time to show your stamina, sense of direction, and smarts! A more challenging orienteering course awaits you in the Appenberg Forest. Who will find the best route and reach the finish line first? We can time the race upon request.

Keynote Presentation: “Navigating Life”

What do orienteering and everyday work life have in common? More than you might think! In an engaging keynote presentation, a prominent figure from the world of elite orienteering shares insights into their experiences and highlights what really matters: finding your bearings, making decisions, and consistently pursuing your goals. Inspiring food for thought for your own professional life—available upon request.
